What is behind the company Global Prime?

Global Prime is an Australian-owned company. They are part of Gleneagle Securities. The company was initially founded to help traders who use the MT4 platform. This was back in 2010. By the year 2011, they decided to add two essential employees. They are Jeremy Kinstlinger and Elan Bension.

Thanks to these two clients turned employees, Global Prime now gives their clients access to their trade receipts. They offer transparency and the assurance that you can trust them with your assets

Is Global Prime regulated?

Global Prime holds three licenses that permit them to handle foreign exchange contracts, derivatives, and securities in 3 different countries. Protecting their client’s money is at the top of their priority list.

They’re not only required to separate your funds from the company’s money, but they also adhere to the client money regulations. They have what they call “Client Trust Accounts” with an Australian bank called Westpac. Not only does Westpac have an AA rating, but ASIC and APRA also regulate it.

The ASIC or Australian Securities and Investments Commission has important Client Money Reporting Rules. Global Prime strictly follows these rules. This will help put your mind at ease and guarantee that your money is safe.

What trading platforms does Global Prime use?

They have three trading platforms. You can either choose to trade on MetaTrader4, Trader Evolution, or Trading View. Below, I will tell you the difference between the two to determine which platform is ideal for you.

They also have a Financial information exchange protocol for high-speed algorithmic trading. This gives traders the option to set up their trading system using any language that they want.

Global Prime also hosts virtual private servers or VPS. This is for clients that trade big lots. This gives clients the option to trade with greater efficiency and reliability. If you own a Global prime account and trade 20 or more lots every month, you have the opportunity to use their virtual private server.

Accepted and Forbidden Countries

Despite the word “global” in their name, Global Prime does not accept clients from Iran, the United States of America, Canada (Ontario), Cote d’Ivoire or the Ivory Coast, and North Korea.

Global Prime specializes in forex or Foreign Exchange. This is what makes them so well known in the forex community. But that’s not the only market that’s tradeable on their platform. You can trade indices, commodities, and even cryptocurrency. You will find an in-depth explanation of each of these markets below.

Global Prime Markets

There are a total of 13 indices available to trade on Global Prime. The major indices, like Nasdaq Composite, Dow Jones Industrial Average, and the SNP500 Index, are available for clients to trade. Trading these indices using a CFD will increase your profit exponentially. Investors who want to own blue-chip stocks, they can invest in any of the indices above. One of the well-known blue-chip stocks out there is the famous Tesla. Microsoft, Apple, Coca-Cola, Amazon, and Facebook are just a few of these indices’ big names.

Since Global Prime offers these as CFD products, non-investors can opt to trade these, either long or short, in whatever leverage they want.

Commodities include energies and soft commodities. They also offer precious metals like gold, platinum, palladium, and silver. These metals are considered to be strategic assets. Institutional fund managers use these commodities as a hedge for inflation and currency volatility.

When it comes to energy, you have the option to trade oil or natural gas. For soft commodities, your options include corn, wheat, soybean, sugar, and many more.

Global Prime will surely provide you with the best service when it comes to this particular market. After all, they’re known to specialize in forex. They offer as many as 48 currency pairs, trading as low as 0.0 spreads at the lowest latency.

Being counter traded by their broker is one of the concerns forex traders have. With Global Prime, you can be at ease to know that they provide trade receipts. These are proof that they will never trade against you.

Global Prime Forex

With the global rise of Bitcoin, its price has skyrocketed from its initial value of zero dollars. Its price has increased to $50,000 for the past 12 years. Analysts have predicted that prices will go as high as $300,000 or even up to a million dollars. Have you been thinking of jumping on the global bandwagon and investing in Bitcoin? Lucky for you, Global Prime offers cryptocurrency trading on their platform.

Not only do they offer Bitcoin CFD as a product, but they also have other significant cryptos such as Ethereum, Litecoin, and Ripple. When it comes to cryptocurrency, a lot of traders fear that their accounts would get hacked or compromised, and all their investments would go down the drain.

As CFD products, it is impossible to hack or steal these cryptocurrency investments. This offers a layer of protection so you can sleep better at night. You do not need to worry about your account.

Leverage rates

Global Prime has leverage rates designed to be more forgiving to ensure that their traders get a higher chance at success. Unlike most brokers, who usually have a leverage rate of 1:500, Global Prime offers 1:100. What does this mean? This means that you do not stand to lose a massive percentage of your investment if you play your cards right.

Global Prime automatically closes your account at a 100% margin level. To put it simply, if you have a balance of $10,000, a margin of $1,000, and you somehow lose $9,000, they will close your account unless you deposit money into your account to get rid of the negative balance.

The broker closing your account can sound very alarming, especially if you have invested a lot of money. Luckily, Global Prime will send you an alert once your account reaches a 120% margin level. This gives you enough time to transfer your funds, add more, or do whatever you can to keep your account from reaching a 100% margin.

Global Prime Margin & Leverage Rates

Global Prime is well known to have competitive spreads. This means that this will lessen the amount of loss per trade. Since Global Prime clients operate on ECN accounts, liquidity providers ensure that traders will have thin spreads.

What time can I trade using Global Prime?

The great thing about trading indices, commodities, and forex is that they’re accessible almost 24 hours per weekday. If we’re using PST or Pacific Standard Time, the market is open from 2:00 PM on Sunday until 2:PM on Friday. That’s 120 hours to trade, invest, earn, or even practice using their free demo account.

If you want a specific time frame for each of the markets available on Global Prime, you can go on to their website. They have a complete chart of forex metals, indices, and commodities and their corresponding schedule.

Global Prime has something called a swap rate and a financing fee. This comes hand in hand with their fair, transparent pricing. A fee can sound a bit concerning sometimes. But this fee is for the benefit of the clients as well. Aside from being a minimal charge, this ensures the client that the broker can consistently offer leveraging.

You may withdraw your funds using your Mastercard or Visa. Neteller and bank wire are also available. Global Prime won’t charge you, but if there are any bank fees, you will have to shoulder them.

1. Financing fee

The decision to trade leveraged products comes with a small charge for their financing fee. It allows the client to open leveraged trades without risking a massive chunk of your capital. This is just a small fee that you need to pay for trading CFDs.

2. Swap Rate

For forex traders, they have a swap rate that is similar to most brokers. For positions that you choose to hold until the next day, they would be both charged and paid for the currency they received and sold.

Automated trading

Global Prime, like most platforms, gives you the option to use trading bots. This platform: MetaTrader 4, also known as MT4, is a powerful tool used by most traders.

You can employ or code your own trading bots to do the work for you. These bots will continue to work for as long as the market stays open. For those who do not know how to code, many systems and strategies are being sold online. You can simply choose one and let it do its job.

If you don’t trust a bot to do the trading, you can try it out first using their free demo account to see if it suits your trading strategy.

Learn to trade with Global Prime

There’s always room for improvement when it comes to your trading strategy. Just like the market, information and knowledge about trading are constantly shifting. All traders, newbies or professionals, should always jump on to the opportunity to learn new things to improve.

Intermediate lessons teach you how to manage your portfolio, devise a strategy, and manage your trades efficiently. Advanced lessons teach you how EA or Expert Advisor works. This Expert Advisor is the program you use to create trading bots. They either look for opportunities or trade for you.

Global Prime also provides a guide on how to journal your trading journey. Tracking your performance is very important so that you know what your specialties and weaknesses are. All traders are obviously made different. Some of them are scalpers, some are swing traders, and some are even long-term investors.

It is up to you to discover what kind of trader you are and what type of strategy you’ll be applying through your trading journey.

The life of a trader can be very difficult, especially if you’re alone throughout your journey. Everyone experiences losses, and even more experience losing streaks. Veterans recommend that you find a mentor that will assist you through the event of loss or gain.

Global Prime owns a Discord server dedicated to helping, educating, and connecting you with fellow traders and mentors. Here, you can interact with experienced and newbie traders. They have a separate channel with mentors that you could consult. It’s important to note that there might be a small fee that you need to pay to consult these mentors. The mentor that you choose will decide on how much you should pay for their service.

Sometimes, they also publish videos on live forex trading. These videos let you know how their mentors play with the market. Think of it as free mentorship, but having an actual mentor to teach you one-on-one is still better

Usually, they give out these videos and articles to forex traders. Sometimes, they also provide market analysis for cryptocurrency, indices, and commodities.

Customer support: What if I have questions?

If you need assistance or simply have a couple of questions that you would like to ask, their customer support is available 24/5 throughout the workweek. As long as the markets open, they’re available to answer your queries.

As soon as you go to their website, a customer service representative will promptly send you a message saying they’re readily available to help you.

The downside is you have to consult them in English only. They don’t support other languages, but the CSRs are very accommodating and will try their best to assist you using Google Translate if you’re not comfortable with English.

Global Prime Support

Conclusion: Is the broker legit?

Global Prime is not as big or as famous as most of the trading platforms out there. With the number of mentors and information they have, they cater and appeal more to beginners. With that said, it is a bit difficult to interact with the members on their Discord server.
